Apparently the Yanks are interested in both Burly-mon and Dye...
Hughes and Tabata work for anyone?

Wow, never saw that.

Whatever may happen with Burly--build around him or use him to get some pieces for the future--the guy I'd trade is Thome. He's 36 years old, been on DL each of last four years. The question is who'd want him--maybe Oakland? Thome's value may actually be better in off-season, since it might expand the number of teams interested. Then again, if he goes 30-90 .260 like he's on pace to, who'd want him for the price?

If Buehrle is traded I hope it's to an NL team. How weird would it be to possibly see MB pitch against us later this year? He may get another no-hitter.

Sources told the Boston Herald early Tuesday afternoon that "the Red Sox are no longer really in the running" for Mark Buehrle.
That's what we figured all along. While the Red Sox and Yankees still can't be completely ruled out here -- especially if either team suffers another pitching injury -- Buehrle is probably on his way to an NL team. He's always wanted to pitch for the Cardinals, and indications are that they're pretty interested in trading for him now, rather than waiting for him to become a free agent. The Braves, Dodgers and Mets could also use him

So, who the Card got?
BlackSox
No one. Buehrle's staying put.

Garcia and Ramos would work from the Cards

Pujols and Wainwright. :)

Clay Buchholz fanned 11 while allowing one run in 6 1/3 innings for Double-A Portland on Monday.
It's unclear whether the Red Sox gave it any serious thought, but Buchholz might have been the best option to take Curt Schilling's spot in the rotation. With Homer Bailey and Yovani Gallardo in the majors, he's one of the top candidates for the label of best pitching prospect in the minors. In June alone, he's had 12 strikeouts once and 11 twice. He's 6-2 with a 1.79 ERA, 53 H and 111/19 K/BB in 80 1/3 IP on the season.

Brewers system is stocked. Could be a surprise player for Burly
True. They shelled out for Suppan, no?

I would go for it if I were them. This is their best chance to win in 25 years.
They could take JD as well to help the offense.
How is their bullpen?

all I know is they are young in the bigs, and good talent down below.
and don't forget, whomever acquires burly will offer arb and get the two draft picks
Buehrle for Jackson, Gwynn, and a low-minors kid.

WOW!
That'd be ideal.
