System Status

Given the recent outages we thought all WorldCrossing members deserve an explanation of what's been happening. The basic problem is that our success has exceeded our ability to deliver your forums reliably: the authentication system that shares your profile information among all the WorldCrossing servers becomes overloaded and brings the system to a halt. We have temporarily addressed the problem by disabling the sharing of personal data between WorldCrossing instances - for the immediate future any changes that you might make to your profile will not be reflected in the forums. In addition, we'll be unable to accept new Premium memberships until the situation is resolved but current Premium members will continue to have full functionality. We're working hard to improve the architecture of the authentication system but at this time we cannot offer an estimate of when that work will be complete.
